FHU鈥檚 Seasons Magazine Increases Content and Engagement With New Digital Format

Henderson, Tennessee 鈥 (Nov. 14, 2024) 鈥 海角社区鈥檚 popular Seasons magazine is entering a new digital era, moving from a print publication to a dynamic online format that connects readers with FHU news on the go. The Fall 2024 issue, now available online, continues the magazine鈥檚 legacy of sharing campus highlights and community stories, accessible anytime at fhu.edu/seasons. Readers may also view the Summer 2024 issue online in the new format.聽

鈥淪easons magazine has been sharing the good news of FHU for over 30 years, and we are thrilled it will now be accessible to anyone with internet access,鈥 FHU President David R. Shannon shared. 鈥淲e want our readers to feel connected to Freed-Hardeman, wherever they are in the world.鈥澛

First introduced in the early 1990s, Seasons magazine was designed to connect alumni, friends and prospective students with the FHU community while celebrating the various seasons of life on campus. This full-color glossy magazine was an outgrowth of a previous publication titled FHC Today, a tabloid-size newsprint that was mailed to readers in the 1980s.聽聽

Freed-Hardeman community news now enters a new phase of growth, aligning with the ever-evolving needs of its readers. The interactive online format offers expanded creative potential, with each issue able to feature in-depth stories complemented by videos, photo galleries and animations. New digital issues are planned for three times per year, and individual stories can easily be shared with friends and family any time via social media.

The Fall 2024 issue spotlights an inspiring alumna鈥檚 journey to the Paris Olympics, recaps FHU鈥檚 鈥淲elcome Home鈥 and Interface events, and previews the upcoming 60th Anniversary of the Benefit Dinner. In addition to these feature stories, readers can explore coverage on academics, athletics, music, theatre, student and faculty achievements, and events that celebrate the greater FHU community.聽聽

Along with the latest content, guests of the site can also revisit numerous archived issues of past Seasons, including a look back at a never-before-seen online Summer 2024 edition which commemorates highlights from the 2023-24 school year. Feature articles from Summer 2024 include coverage of the NAIA Men鈥檚 Basketball Championship journey, the 88th annual Bible Lectureship, Makin鈥 Music 47 鈥淢ake Some Noise鈥 and FHU鈥檚 spring commencement.聽
